Latitude and NOAA successfully complete test flights

April 17-18 – Arizona – L3 Latitude, in conjunction with NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL), successfully completed three flights testing both altitude and payload. Specifically, the second flight achieved 10k MSL (13,350 ft Density altitude) along with verification of NOAA’s payload integration and operation. Together, this verifies performance of the aircraft, and its A33N engine, meets NOAA’s requirements. These efforts are part of the Phase II SBIR, which will culminate in test flights aboard the oceanographic and atmospheric research vessel NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown, NOAA’s largest vessel.
