LATITUDE AWARDED NOAA PHASE II SBIR

Latitude received a Phase II SBIR award from NOAA to continue development of the HQ-55 unmanned aircraft. The HQ-55 is intended to maximize the available payload and endurance in a VTOL vehicle under the Part 107 55lb weight limit. Goals of the Phase II project include completion of production engineering, testing aboard NOAA science vessels, and flights with scientific marine payloads. Latitude believes that the HQ-55 will address the commercial market’s need for longer endurance than currently provided by multirotor aircraft without the logistics burden of launchers, nets, or runways.
